Welcome to our new line of “Kerf Series” furniture. Each solid wood furniture piece is crafted using our unique custom metal joint, the brushed aluminum and doweled “Kerf”- which subtly and proudly conveys the Special Projects Division signature of quality in its joinery.
Our initial offerings from the “Kerf Series” furniture line consist of:
the “Aidan” our folded plane tapered chair (great for a dining room set),
the “Ethan” our folded plane bench available in varying lengths,
the “Ethan Scoop” our “Ethan” bench with slightly angled legs and defined seating area,
and the “Sideboard” our rolling storage component (makes a great movable bar!).

As with all of Special Project Divisions products, each furniture has this in common: each piece is hand-crafted by David Hentzel, who having collected 24 best of show awards nationally, puts his 30 years of care and experience into each piece. Using only the best and most durable of materials, David ensures that all of SPD’s furniture provide unsurpassed value for the price, and are each timeless pieces that will last long enough to be handed down to your grandchildren.
